Welcome reception – Wednesday, April 22

At the end of the first day, we will have an opening reception at the city hall of Leiden. The city councillor of Economy, Knowledge, Sports and Health Wietske Veltman will give an introductory speech, after which we will be served some drinks and bites.

Poster session and lunch buffet – Thursday, April 23

For our poster session, we will move location next door, to the Hortus Botanicus, Leiden’s botanical gardens. Founded in 1590, it is the oldest botanical garden in the Netherlands. Specifically, our poster session will take place in the Oranjerie, originally built to protect tropical plants against the winter cold. After the poster session, we will have a lunch buffet at the same location.

Beach BBQ – Thursday, April 23

After the second day of talks and posters we will board a bus to take us to Beachclub Co, where we will have a BBQ on the beach. Don’t worry, we can move inside if it’s cold or rainy. The BBQ is fully catered, so you can just relax with the other attendees. At around 22:00, the bus will take us back to Leiden.

Farewell drinks – Friday, April 24

Some of you may have already departed Leiden to go back home, but for the leftovers we will organize an informal farewell drink at a nice location in the beautiful center or Leiden. Feel free, but not obliged, to say goodbye!
